What is "Swing Easy Hit Hard"?
Swing Easy Hit Hard is a philosophy used in the game of golf and in life. Sometimes, when we are challenged, we feel tempted to "swing hard" and try to do everything on our own, often leaving us overwelmed and frustrated....and looking for lost golf balls.... But when we rely on God, Family and Friends for support, we can "swing easy" during the tough times, knowing that our circle of support can help us face life's challenges head on and giving us the ability to "hit hard"!
In September 2009, Kirk was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and bile duct cancer. Kirk received a liver transplant on May 20, 2010 and had two more abdominal surgeries over the next two weeks. Kirk is fully recovered and he and his wife, Shannon, serve on the Emory Transplant Center's Patient & Family Advisory Committee and are liver transplant mentors for the Georgia Transplant Foundation.
